Last week we posted about some really cute pre-made classroom valentines but this week it’s all about the DIY valentines. I was wracking my brain for ideas this year, browsing ideas on Pinterest, when I came across this really cute glow stick valentine from Delia Creates. The instant I saw it I knew it was “the one” since I have a million glow sticks left over from our trip to Disney a few weeks ago. While I love the one Delia created, my older son likes to color and write out his own valentines so I adapted it to fit in with his DIY needs. And, luckily for you, I’m providing the free printable {see below} as well!
This is really one of the easiest DIY valentines I’ve come across. Like I said, I got a pack of 100 glow sticks on Amazon before we left for Disney but you can get a smaller pack at most party or variety stores. In addition to the glow sticks, you’ll need a hole punch, some colorful pens (I highly recommend these brightly colored gel pens by Sakura), and this printable. Now just print, cut, punch & color. Happy Valentine’ing!
And just in case you can’t get your hands on some glow sticks or if you are looking for some other ideas, here are a few of our favorite DIY valentines that we’ve seen floating around the interweb…

- You Rule Valentines from Thompson and Spring
