I love a summer shandy this time of year. It’s so cold and refreshing on a hot summer afternoon or evening. You can easily buy a shandy style beer from the store but it’s so easy to make that it doesn’t seem to make sense to buy it pre-made. All you need is a light summer beer (I prefer the Sam Adams Summer Ale because it already has a hint of lemon) and your favorite lemonade. Simple mix, sit back, relax and enjoy!
Summer Shandy
Ingredients
1 – 12 ounce bottle of your favorite light beer
1/2 cup (4 ounces) of lemonade
1 pint glass, chilled in the freezer
Slice of lemon for garnish
Directions
Remove the pint glass from the freezer and pour the beer and then the lemonade into the glass. Gently stir and garnish with a lemon. Enjoy!
