AFL’s Favorite Frames

Have you seen Rebecca’s kick ass glasses from SEE? They are awesome. I’m long overdue for new glasses myself. For most of my life I had perfect vision but things started changing after college. I held out for a few more years since my vision wasn’t really bad but then I finally got a pair of glasses in 2004. And, I haven’t gotten a new pair since! Now my eyes are getting so much worse. I don’t know if its from having kids or from age but, either way, a new prescription and some hot new frames are what I need right now.  It’s a lot of pressure shopping for new frames when your friend and business partner has the perfect pair, so I’ve been shopping around a lot. I’m having such a hard time picking a pair because, honestly, I just want all of them! Here are some of my favorite styles. Which pair do you think I should get?

Oversized – I love these big & bold frames. I’m fairly petite so I’m not sure I can pull them off. Luckily, Rivet & Sway and Warby Parker let you select 5 of your favorite frames to try on at home! How cool is that?

A Feteful Life: Oversized Glasses

  1. Rivet & Sway Disco Diva in Matte Black
  2. Warby Parker Nash in Greystone
  3. Burberry BE2121 in Dark Red

Studious – These are a bit smaller scale and have thicker frames than the ones above. They are simultaneously nerdy & chic.

A Feteful Life: Studious Frames

  1. Oliver Peoples Wacks in Tortoise/Cream
  2. Jason Wu Elizabeth in Noir
  3. Rivet & Sway Belle in Cookies & Cream

Femme – These feminine cat-eyed inspired glasses have a vintage feel that I love but are just subtle enough that they don’t look too costumy.

A Feteful Life: Femme Frames

  1. Elizabeth and James Newbury in Pink
  2. Warby Parker Holcomb in Oak Barrel
  3. Derek Lam 234 in Purple Gradient
