Nature Playdate

A Feteful Life: Nature Playdate

What better way to enjoy summer than to get outside and to explore nature?! Our AFL crew has tackled books and science and now {with a little help from our friends at Land of Nod} our kids were ready to take on the great outdoors. We had an amazing time roasting marshmallows around our campfire, eating bugs {yum!}, crafting and heading out on a rock finding adventure.

We’re sharing all of our fun today on the Land of Nod’s awesome blog Honest to Nod so be sure to head over there and check it out! You can also visit our Etsy store to get the digital download of the invitation and party pack! Now get out there and start exploring!

Black & White “Oh Baby” Shower

A Feteful Life: Black + White Baby Shower

Oh Baby! There’s nothing I love more than the trend of modern co-ed baby showers. So Rebecca and I were very excited when we were asked to style Max & Irene’s co-ed baby shower hosted by Irene’s co-workers. We were even more excited when they were excited about our modern black & white theme. There were no cutesy pastel decorations at this party.

We designed a digital invitation along with a coordinated pennant bunting, drink flags, food labels, and favor bags. Throw in some black and white wrapping paper, straws, some hand stamped napkins and one of Rebecca’s awesome cake buntings and you’ve got yourself a simple yet modern shower. We wish Irene & Max all the best as they start on this new life adventure and hope they always remember to keep life simple, but never plain. Fete on!

I Want it Now: Everyday Gold Necklace

A Feteful Life: KeAlohaNecklaceI’ve always been a silver girl but over the last year, I’ve fallen in love with gold. It all started when I got this watch by Michael Kors. I’ve had the silver version for a while but got the gold version a few months ago. I have some fancier gold jewelry that I wear with the watch when I’m going out but I still don’t have an everyday gold necklace that I can wear with the watch. I absolutely love this double layered necklace by Ke Aloha Jewelry and I want it now!

Triangles Everywhere

Everywhere I turn these days I’m seeing triangles and I can’t get enough of this pattern. From the crisp geometric clean lines to the more organic screen printed variety, it’s modern, yet playful. I also love how this pattern can be feminine, masculine or gender neutral depending on the color combination. It’s got something for everyone. Here are some of my favorites…
